The HEA election is now officially underway!

This is an exciting opportunity for each of us to have a voice in shaping the future direction of our association. Your participation in this process is incredibly important, as it will determine the individuals who will represent us and lead us forward.

Voting is now open, and your ballot should have been sent to you via email. Please take a moment to review the candidates and cast your vote before 11:59 pm on March 25, 2024.

Voting period: March 5 – March 25, 2024
Election certification: March 28, 2024
Voting will take place via electronic ballots and will be conducted by an online voting software company. Members are encouraged to update their contact information via the HEA website or by contacting the HEA administrative assistant, Ms. Bonnie Edmondson.

Positions Available
Board of Directors/Certified – 9 positions/2 yr. terms
Board of Directors/Support – 4 positions/2 yr. terms
Delegate for AEA Assembly – 25 positions (+/- 2)**
Delegate for AEA Assembly – 1 position/Administrator
Delegate for NEA Assembly – 9 positions

The 2024 AEA Run-off Election is set to begin soon!!
Please take a moment to check your email for the voting link and your individual voting credentials. The email will contain all the necessary information to ensure a smooth and secure voting experience. AEA Run-off election materials and ballots will be mailed to each individual member’s address on file with AEA by March 15, 2024. Individual member packets will include: (1) instructions, (2) a ballot, and (3) a postage paid return envelope. You may either vote online or by returning the paper ballot to the vendor, Yes Elections. The deadline to submit/return ballots is April 19, 2024. Your participation is crucial, and your voice matters in shaping the future of the Alabama Education Association.
